Toilet paper, baby supplies, paper supplies, non-perishanle food and cases of water are stacked in the bays in Morehead City Fire-EMS Station.
They are just some of the donations residents are dropping off for people in the western area of the state who lost their homes and towns to raging floodwater.
The drive is in coordination with Crystal Coast Boots and Badges, WNCT reported.
“Today, we are starting accepting at the fire station here at Morehead City Station 2,” Morehead City firefighter/paramedic Kristen Davis said. “This will take place until Monday the 7th and donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.”
The organization also is collecting donations for people in need.
