COVID-19 Claims Veteran Nashville Firefighter

A veteran Nashville firefighter succumbed to COVID-19 complications after contracting the deadly virus while on duty.

The U.S. Fire Administration on Tuesday announced the line-of-duty death of fire engineer Malcolm Arrington, who was a 31-year veteran of the fire service.

According to USFA, Arrington contracted the virus while responding to numerous emergency medical calls and died on Sept. 1.

An obituary posted by the Tennessean newspaper says that Arrington, 54, is survived by his wife and two children.
