Engineer/Paramedic Dies at FL Fire Station

Polk County Fire Rescue Engineer/Paramedic Douglas Clemons died at Fire Station 27.

A Polk County Fire Rescue engineer/paramedic died on duty Tuesday.

The department shared that Douglas Clemons, 56, died while on duty at Fire Station 27 in Indian Lake Estates.

He joined the department June 5, 1995.

"Please keep Doug's family, Doug's crew, and our entire PCFR family in your thoughts and prayers," the department shared on Facebook

"We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of a man who has served Polk County for 27 years and the grief being felt today by our friends at Polk County Fire Rescue, as well as family and friends of Doug Clemons," Polk County Sheriff's Office posted.
