TX Chief, Firefighter Killed in Crash with Semi

A Texas fire department is mourning the loss of its chief and a firefighter who were killed in a crash Tuesday night.

Dalhart Volunteer Fire Chief Curtis Brown and Firefighter Brendan Torres were returned from a call when they were involved in a wreck with a semi, according to a statement on the department's Facebook page.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

"Please give the families, firefighters, and their families space and time as figure out how to move forward," they wrote.
