Danville, PA, Fire Police Officer Stricken at Detail, Dies

Fire Police Officer Robert Myers, 95, was found unresponsive in his vehicle at the community trunk or treat.

 

Oct. 23—DANVILLE — A member of the Danville Fire Police was found dead in his vehicle while on the job Tuesday evening.

Wednesday, the Montour County Coroner's Office announced they would be investigating the death of Robert Myers, 95.

Myers was working at the Danville Community Trunk or Treat on Tuesday evening. When he did not return from taking a break, he was found unresponsive in his vehicle by another fire police officer, according to the coroner's office.

Myers was found at around 7:21 p.m. Though bystanders and EMS attempted resuscitation, Myers was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner's office said.
