A Kansas City firefighter/parmedic stabbed by his patient early Sunday has died.
Firefighter-Paramedic Graham Hoffman, 29, was treating the patient in the back of an ambulance when he was stabbed in the chest.
When Hoffman's partner called for help, additional firefighters and Kansas City Police responded. The woman, who has not been identified, was taken into custody.
Despite efforts by fellow firefighters and doctors at North Kansas City Hospital. Hoffman died of his injuries, KMBC reported.
He had been with the department since 2022.
A press conference is scheduled for later today.
