The firefighters of Fire Station No. 3 refer to their new home as the “Tree House,” as the building, parking and fire apparatus seamlessly weave between several large, heritage trees.
The 68,400-sq.-ft. facility has overlapping and centralized common workspaces for the fire station, command center and training facilities.
At 30,140 sq. ft., the station serves as the disaster preparedness hub for its fast-growing, majority-residential community.

The new Longmont fire station will be home to an engine company, with an ambulance being added in a future.
