Nothing was showing from Easton firefighters arrived.

An Easton home suffered extensive damage during a Jan. 6 home.

Northampton County 911 Center received a call for a bedroom fire at 1454 Lehigh Street around 11:50 a.m.

Upon arrival nothing was visible from the exterior of the 2 1/2-story home. As firefighters made entry through the rear of the first floor, smoke became evident and began to get heavier.

Initial crews made entry via the back of the home with a 2 1/2-inch hoseline and when they reached the seat of the fire near the front of the home, the windows blew out and fire was now showing out the front bay window and the side window of the room involved.

Firefighters managed to keep the fire contained to that one room and it was knocked down within a few minutes. The entire home received heavy smoke damage throughout.

No injuries were reported.
