Firefighters Protect Exposures as Glendale, CA, Duplex Burns

Firefighters in Glendale rushed to extinguish a fire at a duplex Monday afternoon.

Thick dark smoke and intense flames were visible for miles, KTLA reported. 

Firefighters took a defensive approach and did not enter the building. Instead, they focused their efforts on protecting a neighboring home and apartment complex.

The cause remains under investigation.
