Teen Extricated From Wash. Golf Cart Rollover

NEWCASTLE, Wash. -- Firefighters extricated a golf course employee who was trapped under an overturned golf cart Thursday morning at Newcastle Golf Course, the Fire Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. Chopper 7 video of the rescue showed the worker on a backboard, being put into an aid unit. The 17-year-old worker rolled the cart down an eight-foot embankment and was pinned under the cart, firefighters said.

Firefighters extricated a golf course employee who was trapped under an overturned golf cart Thursday morning at Newcastle Golf Course, the Fire Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Chopper 7 video of the rescue showed the worker on a backboard, being put into an aid unit.

The 17-year-old worker rolled the cart down an eight-foot embankment and was pinned under the cart, firefighters said.

The teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. There was no immediate information about his condition or injuries, but Chopper 7 pilot Clark Stahl said he was responsive and talking with medics.
