Crews helped a firefighter reach medics after he became overheated and fell to his knees while battling a detached garage fire Sunday night in Clark County.

A detached garage is completely gone after it caught fire Sunday night on Dayton-Springfield Road.

Crews were dispatched to the 2700 block around 6 p.m.

According to our crew on scene, a firefighter was battling the fire before he came out and dropped to his knees. Crews then picked him up and took him to the medics. The firefighter was overheated and has no serious injuries.

The residents were also inside the house, which was also damaged, during the garage fire, but no one was injured.

The cause is still under investigation at this time.
