SPRINGFIELD, MA—Two firefighters were injured in a blaze at a three-family home that displaced seven people Monday afternoon.
The firefighters received burns on their hands while ventilating the three-story house. They were taken to the hospital for treatment, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at about 3:30 p.m. at 859 Armory St. Firefighters had extinguished it before 4 p.m., officials said.
All seven people who lived in the building escaped uninjured. They are being assisted by the Western Massachusetts chapter of the American Red Cross.
The Fire Department’s Arson And Bomb Squad is investigating the cause, officials said.
