Plane Crashes in TX Field after Hitting Power Line, Killing Two

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a crash involving a single-engine Cessna 182 that struck a power line and went down in a field near Ralph M. Hall Municipal Airport in Rockwall.

Two people died in a small plane crash Thursday afternoon in Rockwall.

Police and firefighters were called just after 1 p.m. to the 1900 block of State Highway 66, near Ralph M. Hall Municipal Airport, where a single-engine Cessna 182 had crashed in a field just north of the road.

Two people were found dead in the wreckage, police said. Their identities have not been released.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane crashed after hitting a power line.

The FAA is continuing to investigate the crash.
