Firefighters from Chelsea along with surrounding agencies battled a four-alarm fire in a multi-story building which may have started as the result of an electrical issue in the neighborhood Thursday night.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions in a three-story structure and worked to control the blaze as it made its way to multiple floors of the building.
Chelsea Fire Chief Leonard Albenese told WCVB5 there was an electrical event in the area causing two simultaneous incidents that stretched their city's fire resources thin.
The fire reached four alarms, requiring assistance from surrounding departments.
The fire caused significant damage to the occupancy
One firefighter was injured.
