BullEx. LION Announce Changes in Executive Leadership Team
BullEx and LION are pleased to announce three changes in their executive team. Co-founder and President Ryan O’Donnell transitions into a strategy and business development role, as Leon Timmermans assumes the role of Division President and Craig DeVoe begins work as BullEx General Manager.
In 2009, BullEx began working with the Netherlands based HAAGEN Fire Training Products. In 2012, BullEx and HAAGEN became one organization under the LION Group known as the Lion Training Resources Group (LTRG). The BullEx brand is utilized in North and South America as well as Australia. LTRG has built several of the world’s largest fire training centers and is the world’s largest supplier of fire training equipment.
New Responsibilities for Ryan O’Donnell
As a founder of BullEx and co-owner of Haagen, O’Donnell has spent the last ten years establishing BullEx and HAAGEN as leaders in the marketplace and building a solid foundation for the business within the LION organization. With the strong health of the business and seeing the potential in the Management Team’s leadership capabilities, he made the recommendation that he step back to support the business by focusing on Strategy and Business Development and that members of the team step up to take on the day to day operation of the business.
“I am excited to see Leon’s and Craig’s leadership drive the growth of our business and I’m looking forward to spending more time on what I’m passionate about, which is building a stronger connection to the market so we can enhance our ability to develop and launch revolutionary training products,” remarked O’Donnell.
Leon Timmermans appointed President
LION’s Board of Directors has appointed Leon Timmermans, previously General Manager of HAAGEN, to succeed Ryan O’Donnell.
“As the Managing Director of HAAGEN, Leon has continually demonstrated a willingness to use innovative solutions and approaches to tackle complex and challenging issues, always with a focus on the customer,” said Steve Schwartz, President and CEO of LION. “Leon’s extensive sales, marketing and project management experience, makes him well-positioned to lead our Training Recourses Group distribution worldwide.”
Timmermans, a native of Tilburg, the Netherlands, worked previously in the fire monitoring division at Honeywell where he was responsible for Sales, Marketing and Project Management.
Craig DeVoe appointed BullEx General Manager
Craig DeVoe, born and raised in Albany, NY, joined BullEx in December 2013 as the Vice President of Global Sales. Since his arrival he has focused on setting the global sales strategy to prepare LTRG for continued growth. Craig will continue to be responsible for the Global Sales and Marketing strategy for LTRG in addition to assuming full responsibility of the BullEx business as the General Manager. In this new role Craig will focus on growing BullEx in North and South America as well as Australia by leading all functions of the business.
“I’m thrilled to take on the leadership of BullEx, a great company with an incredible passion for the fire service and providing tools for life saving training. The future is very bright for BullEx and LTRG. We have built the four largest training centers in the world, our tools have trained millions of people on how to respond to a fire emergency and we continue to launch innovative products for the fire and safety market.”
