Massachusetts firefighters were battling a three-alarm home blaze early Wednesday when parts of a ceiling collapsed on them. None of the Newton firefighters were injured by the collapse, Chief Bruce Proia told WCVB-TV.
The home's resident was able to escape the burning house, and firefighters rescued a cat from the fire. Crews also dealt with icy conditions and frozen fire hydrants as they kept flames from spreading to neighboring homes, according to WCVB.
