A Virginia firefighter was taken to the hospital after battling a house blaze Thursday.
The fire broke out shortly after 11:30 a.m. at a home in Forest, WSLS-TV reports. Once at the scene, crews saw flames shooting through the front of the house and the roof.
According to the Forest Fire Department, firefighters "made an aggressive interior attack on the fire saving many valuables within the home." No one was inside the burning house at the time.
A firefighter suffered heat exhaustion during the blaze. He was taken to the hospital and later released, according to the department.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in 25 minutes, WSLS added.
