Firefighters spent hours Wednesday night battling a four-alarm fire that destroyed a family-owned air conditioning business in northwest Harris County.
About 75 firefighters were needed to contain the fire, which prompted a hazardous materials response to evaluate any chemicals and runoff from the fire.
With the extreme heat, the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office told KPRC2 that the fire reached multiple alarms to ensure enough firefighters were on scene.
The building was used as offices and a warehouse, officials said.
No injuries were reported.
