Wall Collapse Briefly Traps NC FFs

Three Steele Creek firefighters were trapped brielfy when a brick wall collapsed on them Sunday morning.

One remained hospitalized Sunday night while the others were released after treatment, Queen City News reported.

Firefighters saw heavy fire coming from the two-story house as they approached the area.

“It’s going to take us some time to figure out what’s going on. We’re just asking everybody to please be patient with us while we try to determine the cause of this fire," Charlotte Capt. Jackie Gilmore told reporters.
