Jun. 23—SHELTON — A family of three and their dog were displaced following a fire on Bruce Drive Saturday evening, according to a fire official.

Deputy Fire Chief Paul Wilson, the department's spokesperson, said firefighters responded to reports of a visible fire at around 6:40 p.m.

On arrival, the fire was visible and seen at the front of the residence, Wilson said. He added that the fire had then extended to the second-floor of the home.

Wilson said approximately thirty firefighters worked to put out the flames, and after forty minutes, all visible fire was extinguished.

The fire marshal deemed the house unhabitable and is investigating into the cause of the flames, Wilson added.

Wilson said nobody was injured from the incident, and the family is staying with nearby family.
