Sacramento Metro Firefighters Battle Apartment Blaze

Crews called for a second alarm after finding a "tremendous amount of fire," Sac Metro Battalion Chief Parker Wilbourn said.

Multiple units at an apartment complex in Sacramento County were damaged and dozens of people were displaced by a fire Friday morning.

Firefighters called for a second-alamr after finding a "tremendous amount of fire,"  Sac Metro Battalion Chief Parker Wilbourn told KMAX.

The fire quickly spread to three units with Wilbourn calling it a "high life hazard," so crews made sure everyone made it out safely. No injuries were reported. 

Crews got inside and were able to save the building, but it was heavily damaged, Wilbourn said.
