Sutter County, CA, Walnut Warehouse Continues to Burn

Firefighters from multiple departments managed to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures in Sutter County.

On Monday, Sutter County firefighters remain on the scene of a walnut packing and handling warehouse.

The fire was reported about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and continues to burn, Fox 40 reported late Monday. 

"Meridian, Pleasant Grove, Yuba City, Williams, Linda, Butte County, Yolo county, Colusa County, Princeton, Robbins and more were critical in assisting. Initial responding units were able to contain the fire to the warehouse and not spread to any nearby structures," according to the Sutter County Firefighters' Facebook page. 

The cause remains under investigation.
