Roosevelt, New York Firefighters Respond to Fully Involved House Fire

The Roosevelt, New York Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire with a person trapped on August 15th, 2003.

The Nassau County Police were on scene reporting the job to be fully involved and everyone was out of the house.

Roosevelt's engines 731 and 733 were both on the scene within minutes and lines were put into service.

Chief Bill Stockdale arrived to find heavy fire showing and requested mutual aid from Uniondale, South Hempstead and North Merrick. Three lines were used to knock this fire down. Overhaul operations lasted well into the morning.
