Campbell Hall Firefighters Respond to Fatal House Fire in New York

At about 10:15 p.m. on Monday June 6th, the Campbell Hall Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire opposite 42 Lagrange Rd.

Hamptonburgh, NY - At about 10:15 p.m. on Monday June 6th, the Campbell Hall Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire opposite 42 Lagrange Rd.

Incident Command (Asst Chief Jim Ballard) arrived on scene and reported a 1 1/2 frame structure fully involved.

A Mutual Aid request was placed for tankers from Maybrook & Goshen to assist since the fire was in a no hydrant area

Initial concern was that there were two large propane tanks that were venting but firefighters quickly cooled them down.

Numerous Co's were moved to fill empty fire stations.

The cause of the fire which claimed the life of the homes lone occupant is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Investigation Unit.
