The Soddy-Daisy Volunteer Fire Department was notified of a Commercial Structure Fire on the afternoon of April 20th.

The Chief arrived within 2 minutes of the notification and found a working fire involving approximately 50% of a 12,000 sq. ft. cabinet shop.

An interior attack was initiated with a 2 1/2" handline from Engine 2, while Engine 1 laid a 4" supply line.

Engine 4 pulled a second 2 1/2" attack line attempting to knock down some of the fire from the exterior in support of the interior attack moving in from the other end of the building.

Engine 3 connected to the four way valve to pump Engine 1's supply line.

The fire overwhelmed the 2 1/2" lines due in part to the flammable liquids involved in the fire.

When the fire flashed over the interior crew was withdrawn and the attack mode was switched to a defensive operation.

Mutual Aid was recieved from Sale Creek and Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Departments and the City of Red Bank Fire Department.
