Virginia Firefighters Respond to Dump Truck Overturn

Tuesday, June 8th around 12:30 p.m. the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department was called out to a wreck that involved an overturned dump truck on Coon Ridge Road in Carroll County.The driver was taken to the hospital via ambulance; his condition was not known but his injuries were reported not to be life threatening. According to witnesses, the driver ran off the road and then over corrected, causing the truck to overturn and spilling out the gravel along the side of the road.The Virginia State Patrol investigated the accident.
