Ocala, Fla. Fire Rescue Extinguishes Commercial Building Blaze

OCALA, Fla. - Firefighters arrived at a two-story, 10,000 square-foot commercial building the morning of Weds., May 26 to find heavy smoke and visible flames inside the structure.

The building, located at 2801 Southwest 20^th St., is partially occupied by the Creative Kids II day care, where the fire is believed to have originated.

Ocala Fire Rescue was dispatched shortly before 1:30 a.m. and arrived within a few minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Extensive smoke damage was evident throughout the building. Twenty-four firefighters fought the blaze and there were no injuries. Firefighters remained on scene for more than three hours.
