The El Cajon Fire Department was dispatched on July 11, at 12:12 p.m. for a residential structure fire with gas leak. Smoke was seen from the station, and crews found a fully involved converted garage. Shortly after fire spread through common attic to the main house. The fire was knocked in about 20 minutes with one minor injury to a civilian.The cause is undetermined.
