Franklin, Gerogia Firefighters Battle Mobile Home Fire

On June 27, 2004 at 3:15 a.m. Heard County Emergency Services units were dispatched to a fire in Franklin, Gerogia.

Upon arrival they found a double-wide trailer fully involved. The family woke up to heavy smoke and fire. Two adults and two children escaped from the home. Both children sustained second degree burns to their back areas from falling ceiling tiles.

The structure was a total loss. The LP tank had to be cooled while the fire was contained.
