New York Firefighters Battle House Fire

At 1135 a.m. Tuesday morning the Campbell Hall Fire District was alerted for a Structure Fire opposite 26 East Green Rd.

At 1135 a.m. Tuesday morning the Campbell Hall Fire District was alerted for a Structure Fire opposite 26 East Green Rd. Incident Command (Chief Mike Snyder) was advised of numerous calls and requested a Tanker from Maybrook. The call turned out to be in the Maybrook Fire District and Chief Charles Woznick assumed Command upon his arrival.

With conditions rapidly deteriorating, additional help was requested to the scene from Goshen, Chester, Washingtonville, Salisbury Mills, Vails Gate, Montgomery, and manpower from Coldenham with numerous other units on standby at various locations.

The cause of the fire which destroyed the home was listed as accidental by the Town of New Windsor Fire Marshall's Office.
