Virginia Firefighters Knock Down Fully-Involved Residential Blaze

The Big Stone Gap, Virginia Fire Department received the alarm for a structure fire on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2:35 PM. The structure fire was fully involved upon arrival of officers and Engine 2.

The Big Stone Gap, Virginia Fire Department received the alarm for a structure fire on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2:35 PM. The structure fire was fully involved upon arrival of officers and Engine 2.

Lieutnants Dale Stidham and Clint Barker, along with firefighter Travis Chestnut, lead the attack. After knocking down the flames on the porch entry was made and a few minutes later the fire was under control.

The Big Stone Gap Fire Department is a Vol. Dept. with 30 vol. members Chief and Fire Marshal operating out of two stations.
