Crews Tackle New Jersey House Fire

On Feb. 26,  a house fire was reported on Glennwood Court in Woodbury Heights at 5:30 p.m.

Police reported a working fire.  Command struck the All Hands box for heavy fire from Division A-D.

Engine 1511 laid in to secure a water supply as the crew led off with a 2 ½” hand line.  The firefighters went in but were driven out for heavy fire conditions. 

Command ordered crews to set up for defensive operations as fire conditions were through the roof.

Crews operated with a Ladder Pipe and multiple 2 1/2” hand lines.

Crews remained in defensive operations as the fire was knocked down and placed under control.

The fire is under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshals Office.
