Roof Collapses at Texas Building Fire

The roof of a commercial building collapsed as Fort Worth firefighters worked to bring the early morning fire under control on Sept. 16. 

The Fort Worth Fire Department was dispatched to 2925 Race St. for a structure fire around 3 a.m.

Engine 19 arrived to find heavy fire visible from one unit in a row of commercial businesses and an interior attack was initiated.

A roof collapse caused all crews to vacate the structure and begin exterior operations.

The fire was placed under control at 4:20 a.m. and one adjancent business suffered water damage.
