Numerous renovations made to a Branson resort challenged firefighters as they worked to contain a two-alarm fire on Oct. 21.
Southern Stone County Fire District crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire at the White Wing Resort on Jake's Creek Trail at 10:27 p.m.
The first engine found heavy fire coming from the back side of the office/living quarters areas of the two-story building at the resort. A second alarm was requested and Branson Fire and Western Taney County Fire units responded.
Crews made an aggressive interior attack, but found difficulities because the structure had been added onto several times.
The fire was contained to the one building and the point of origin was determined to be the back deck. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Crews cleared the scene just after 4 a.m.
