Detroit Units Respond to Occupied Dwelling Fire

March 4, 2013

About 12:40 a.m. on Feb. 18, Detroit firefighters were called to the area of Chatsworth and Windsor on the city's east side for a dwelling on fire.

Engine 52 arrived on scene and reported fire through the roof of an occupied dwelling and that they were stretching.

Neighbors informed fire crews that the homeowner may still be trapped inside, but both the primary and secondary searches were negative.

Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack, and the fire was under control in about 30 minutes.

Units on scene: Engines 52/41/58, Ladder 31, Squad 3, Chief 6, EMS, 1104 (EMS Supervisor)
