The Saint John Fire Rescue - Ambulance in New Brunswick hosted a mock accident involving a training to highlight the dangers of railroad crossings last week.
The Operation Life Saver exercise simulated a New Brunswick Southern Train striking a minivan full of teenagers with one adult driver. One teen was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire crews extricated several victims who were then transported by ambulance.
Officials said the demonstration was successful.
