Photo Story: Blaze Erupts at Texas Scrap Plant

Jan. 4, 2014

Smoke poured from a Fort Worth scrap yard as firefighters tried to contain a fire on Dec. 30.

The two-alarm fire at Texas Industrial Scrap Iron on North Commerce Street was reported around 1 p.m.

Workers tried to contain the fire, but it quickly spread through piles of scrap metal and other debris.

Several ladder pipes were used with hoselines to bring the fire under control.
