NY FFs Rescue 7 From Apartment Fire

The Hinsdale Fire Department found people hanging out of windows on arrival at the apartment fire in Salina.

Salina, N.Y. — Seven people were rescued from an on-fire apartment building in Salina early Thursday morning, firefighters said.

A firefighter arrived at 3:09 a.m. on the scene at the Orchard Estates Apartments at 115 Roxboro Circle, according to dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center.

“I got people hanging out windows,” he told dispatchers.

Seven people were rescued from the apartment building, according to a Facebook post from the Hinsdale Fire Department.

Two people were taken to a hospital with “non-severe injuries” according to the Facebook post. The fire department did not have information on their condition.
