CA FFs Rescue Man from Hiking Trail

San Diego Fire-Rescue crews set up a rope system and lowered the patient about 400 feet to the beach below where an ambulance was waiting.

San Diego Fire-Rescue shared images on its Facebook page of a rescue this weekend.

Firefighters and lifeguards rescued a man in his 70's who suffered an injury while on a trail above Black's Beach.

They set up a rope system and lowered the patient about 400 feet to the beach below where he was taken by lifeguards in a pickup truck to an awaiting ambulance.

The patient was taken to a local hospital.
