The new Roof Rescue Kit is based on the FDNY configuration and offers a top-down rescue option for firefighters or civilians who may be stranded at a window during a structure fire. The new FDNY Search Kit was built to the exact specs requested by FDNY specifically for large area search operations.
The Roof Rescue Kit includes:
- 125 feet of 100% Technora® H3 Tech125™ rope offers superior heat and abrasion resistance with 2 sewn eyes and markers every meter.
- Kevlar shock pack sewn to one end limits impact force to rescuer and anchor.
- SafeGuard™ rope protector offers protection against damage at the parapet.
- D5 descender provides easy control of one- or two-person loads.
- Unique double-ended rope bag offers ease of access to both operational and anchor end.
The FDNY Search Kit includes:
- 200 feet of SearchLite™ heat-resistant rope with reflective tracer for visibility with a flashlight.
- Heat-resistant conical distance indicators permanently affixed to the rope every 25 feet indicate distance and direction to the exit.
- Locking double action aluminum swivel snaphook offers easy attachment to a stationary object with gloved hands.
- Vinyl search bag with a quick release buckle delivers easy payout and easy donning and doffing.
