Some roller coaster passengers were left hanging upside down for nearly three hours Sunday afternoon.
Crandon firefighters had to call for assistance. Antigo crews who are about 40 miles away responded with an aerial, WISN reported.
"All we know is that there is a mechanical failure with the ride where it became stuck in the upright position. The ride was recently inspected by the state of Wisconsin here on-site, and at this time, we do not have any other information," Crandon Fire Capt. Brennan Cook explained.
Antigo Lt. Adam Finn said "he had never seen anything like this before."
Riders were treated and some were transported to the hospital.
