Los Angeles Firefighters Cut Bars to Rescue Two

Feb. 18, 2025
Burning vehicles on the ground-floor level of the Los Angeles building led to the rescue and evacuations.

Los Angeles firefighters used saws to cut through bars to rescue a woman and a boy from a fire early Tuesday.

“Firefighters [were] on scene of several vehicles on fire in the ground-floor parking level of the building. Both residential floors of the building were evacuated due to heavy smoke coming from the parking level," according to a release from Los Angeles Fire Department.

The 29-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy, were evaluated by paramedics and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The cause is under investigation.
