Five firefighters were injured while battling a four-alarm blaze at an apartment complex in Middletown Township Sunday night.
Three firefighters sustained burns and were transported to St. Mary Medical Center, one injured his shoulder when the roof collapsed and another suffered an eye injury, according to The Bucks County Courier Times.
One of the burned firefighters has since been transferred to Temple Burn Center in Philadelphia.
Langhorne-Middletown Fire Chief Frank Farry told the newspaper that the injuries were not life-threatening.
No civilians were injured, though more than 20 residents were displaced.
Crews responded to the fire at the three-story Windsor at Harper's Crossing apartments off of Big Oak Road shortly after 10 p.m. and found heavy fire and smoke going through the roof.
Around 125 firefighters from departments throughout Bucks County responded and had the blaze under control by about midnight.
Fire officials believe that lightning sparked the blaze, but the cause is still under investigation.
