N.Y. Firefighter Dies After Incident

A New York fire department is mourning the loss of one of its own.

Former Sayville Fire Chief Lawrence Sesso, 40, collapsed and died Aug. 22.

After fighting a fire at a commercial facility, Sesso participated in a parade with his department and others.

Shortly thereafter, he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Southeast Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
