Report: S.C. Firefighter Didn't Fall Off Engine That Ran Over Him

A S.C. firefighter killed at an incident last month didn't fall off the fire engine as originally thought.
Conway Firefighter Christopher Ray, 42, was killed in a failed attempt to jump onto the engine at it was backing up, according to the crash report released by the S.C. Department of Public Safety.
When Ray slipped, he became entangled in the hose and was run over by the engine, the investigator wrote.
Hundreds turned out for Ray's funeral.
