Baltimore Firefighter Dies After Collapsing on a Call Last Month

EMT/Firefighter Juan Wilson, 34, died Sunday morning, Baltimore Local 734 announced.

A Baltimore firefighter/EMT died Sunday more than a month after he collapsed while on a medical call.

EMT/Firefighter Juan Wilson,34, was assisting a patient on Sept. 19 when he suffered a medical emergency, Baltimore Local 734 announced on Twitter.

Wilson was transported to University of Maryland Medical Center where he has remained since the incident "...After a long battle (he) passed away this morning," according to the IAFF tweet. 

The 11-year veteran of the department was assigned to Engine Co. 53 in Edmondson Village. 

Services are pending. The department flags at all stations will be at half-staff until sunset the day of the funeral.
