NH Firefighter Died of Stroke After Assisting at Incident

Pembroke Lt. Terrence 'Terry' M. Judge, 64, died of an apparent stroke in March after assisting at a flooding detail.


The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the on-duty death of a New Hampshire firefighter.

On March 22, Pembroke Lt. Terrence 'Terry' M. Judge, 64, responded to a flooding incident in a multi-family residence and operated a sump pump in the basement.

He returned to his residence after the incident. The following morning he collapsed at his home. He was transported to a hospital where he died of an apparent stroke on March 24. 

Judge had been involved with the fire service for 33 years. 

His death brings the on-duty death toll to 59.
