A Tennessee firefighter died Thursday morning hours after responding to a call.
Vonore Firefighter Robert Lewis Jr. was getting ready for his shift at the department when he suffered a medical emergency, according to the Tennessee Fire Chiefs Association.
Lewis had responded to a call the previous night, Chief Danny Amshler told state officers.
Area fire departments are handling calls for Vonore.
Funeral arrangements for the four-year veteran of the department are pending.
