New Dashcam Video Shows SUV Striking Firefighters at Safety Harbor, FL, Station
New dashcam video shows a disabled car crossing the apron and striking two Safety Harbor firefighters.
"I am happy to report that both firefighters have returned to work. Firefighter Paramedic Ryan Craig has returned to full duty. And, Capt. Joey Hans has returned to light duty. Capt. Hans is expected to make a full recovery and return to full duty this summer," according to a statement from Safety Harbor Fire Chief Andrew Hawkins.
Hans has been with the department for 22 years while Craig, five years, Fox 13 reported.
Just after the early December incident, Hawkins said: "This is truly affecting everybody. We have had crews come in from local departments doing peer support and talking to our members because of what they saw today."
The driver of the disabled vehicle being pushed by a Pineallas County deputy was supposted to turn onto a golf course, but didn't.
