Watch: Bodycam Shows Blast in Christopher, IL

A firefighter was trapped briefly under debris in the front of the Christopher house.

One firefighter was injured in the blast that destroyed a home in Christopher last week.

As soon as the explosion occurred, police and other responders ran to free a firefighter trapped under debris in the front of the house.

"We are grateful that no one sustained major injuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Christopher firefighter for a fast and speedy recovery, and also with the family that lost their home during this tragedy," police told 6abc.

The cause is under investigation.
